The first Independence Day celebration was in 1777, during the Revolutionary war period. This memorable moment offered everyone a massive sense of hope.

· Fireworks Are Simply Chemical Reactions!

Fireworks are nothing more than the results of chemical reactions. A typical firework contains a fuel, chemical mixture, and an oxidizer. The chemical reaction happens when the fuel combines with the oxidizer, releasing energy. You only need a spark to ignite this reaction.

· The Chinese Invented Fireworks, Italians Added the Colours

The Chinese invented fireworks between 200 BC and 900 AD. Yes, that long ago! However, the early fireworks only had two colours—white and orange. Eventually, in 1830 Italian scientists were able to add more colours by burning several metallic powders. This marked the beginning of the spectacular display of amazing colours we have today.

· Blue Fireworks Are the Hardest to Create
